By far, for over the past one hundred years, the Seelbach hotel has been one of the most famous hotels in Louisville. The hotel inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby and has been host to presidents, foreign dignitaries, and a slew of gangsters including Al Capone. The Seelbach’s distinguished history is as rich as any bourbon brand, not to mention it’s haunting tales which are sure to raise the hair on the back of your neck.

The Galt House Hotel

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, right on the Ohio river, the Galt House Hotel is walking distance to downtown distilleries, museums, restaurants, and the Ohio river. Once considered the premier downtown hotel, the Galt House may have been considered outdated by many however the hotel recently announced an $80 million top-to-bottom renovation, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2020.
