Early this year, Steve Akley and Royce Neeley of Neeley Family Distillery took a road trip up to Pennsylvania to meet the legendary distiller Dick Stoll, the last Master Distiller for Michter's Pennsylvania. During their time there, Steve and Royce not only gained a mentor, but a friend. They reveled in his stories of the past and even the present when he talked about going up to the local bait shop every day at the age of 86 to see his buddies and "solve the world's problems" with their group discussions. Ever since this meeting, Steve and Royce have made an effort to continue to work hard to achieve their dreams in the bourbon industry, but also enjoy the moment a bit by taking some time in the mornings to chat with each other on the porch of Neeley Family Distillery. If Steve's in town, come by some morning, you might see a group that includes, Steve, Royce, Roy Neeley, PawPaw and local legend Fred Cox sitting on the rockers on the NFD porch attempting to solve the world's problems right there in Sparta, Kentucky. This group is known as the Neeley Family Bait Shop Quorum as a tribute to their friend, Dick Stoll. These hats are a one-time buy so get them while you can. This one is in a black.
